(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A Lawrence Township man is facing multiple charges after deputies say physically and sexually assaulted a woman.Deputies responded at around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday to a domestic assault call.They allege that Scott Costner held the victim hostage for three days, repeatedly physically and sexually assaulted her, and refused to let her leave.According to reports, she was able to get away Wednesday and called 9-1-1.Costner's girlfriend claims that the victim's kids were home the entire time.In the course of their investigation, deputies also allegedly found meth and meth making components.Police also reported Thursday that the victim had taken out a personal protection order against Costner, which he was served while in the Van Buren County Jail on charges of impersonating a firefighter.When Costner posted bond on the charge and was released, the victim says he returned to her home in violation of the order.She alleges that he remained there for the next several days, using methamphetamine, forcing her to do the same, and raping her.Costner was arraigned Thursday on charges of first degree criminal sexual conduct with personal injury, and possession of meth.Newschannel 3 also learned that Costner could be charged with running a meth lab sometime next week.His bond was set at $100,000.Costner is due back in court March 19.
