Mich. court of appeals upholds Terpening sentence

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A Michigan court of appeals upheld a prison sentence for a former youth home director convicted of molesting teenage boys in his care.

In November of 2012, Michael Terpening was found guilty on multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct.

He operated Earth Services, near Bellevue.

In 2011, several teen boys came forward with allegations of sexual abuse.

He appealed his 10 to 15 year prison sentence, but an appeals court upheld the judge's ruling Friday.

Terpening remains behind bars at the Carson City Correctional Facility.
