Victim in train-semi crash identified

WHITE PIGEON, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - We now know the name of the driver killed in a semi versus train crash.

Police say 77-year-old Bobby Abell, of Quincy, slammed his semi into a slow moving freight train.

It happened Thursday on US-131 in White Piegon, just south of US-12.

Authorities say Abell died instantly, and an engineer of the train suffered minor injuries.

An investigation is underway to see if a medical condition caused him to lose control of his truck.
