The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids maintains a LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY for Ottawa, Allegan, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Berrien, Cass, and St. Joe counties until 9 PM.  An additional 1" to 4" of snow are possible on northwest winds of 15 to 20 mph; icy roads are verified by several road reports.  Please be careful traveling as lows dip into the teens tonight; wind chills will be in the single digits.

M-DOT holding meeting over highway construction in Kent Co.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Michigan's Department of Transportation is gathering public input about some major construction along highways in Kent County.

Thursday's meeting focuses on US-131 and I-96.

M-DOT would like to hear what you would like to see done as well as any concerns.

The meeting is at the Rockford Construction Community Center on First Street Northwest in Grand Rapids from 4:00 to 7:00.

If you cannot make this meeting, there is another next week on Wednesday.
