Police investigate similar robberies in Branch, St. Joseph Counties

WEST MICHIGAN (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Michigan State Police want your help tracking down a person who they say broke into a Branch County home and stole a gun.

It happened overnight on April 1 in the area of Snow Prairie Road and Slisher Road in Bronson Township.

Troopers say someone stole a .22 caliber revolver, a fish finder, and a bunch of pennies.

Troopers say a similar break-in happened Wednesday morning in St. Joseph County.

Someone stole several guns and jewelry from a home on the 12000 block of M-60 in Fabius Township.

Police say at this time it's too early to say if the two break-ins are related.

If you have any information on either break-in, call Michigan State Police.
