DENSE FOG ADVISORY

Until 10 AM

The National Weather Service issues a DENSE FOG ADVISORY for all of West Michigan until 10 AM.  Fog may linger in some locations until midday.  Light winds, ample moisture near the ground are encouraging the formation of dense fog.  Because temperatures are near freezing, a light coating of ice may form on some road surfaces making them slick.  Please keep it safe this morning as you head back to work and school.

Woman airlifted after alcohol-involved crash

OLIVE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) An Ottawa County woman is airlifted from an early-morning crash.

The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office says 23-year-old Jessica Kooienga of Zeeland Township had been drinking when she was driving, eastbound in the 13000 block of Stanton Street in Olive Township, around 4:30 a.m. Saturday.

Deputies say she lost control of the car and hit a tree, becoming pinned in the car. Responders freed her and she was airlifted to Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. It's unknown whether she was wearing her seat belt. Police say she is in stable condition.
