Deal reached, but road funding decision to be made by voters  LANSING, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Lawmakers have reached an agreement on road funding.

The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY for the following counties in West Michigan, effective until 8 am Friday: Barry, Calhoun, and Eaton. Pockets of freezing drizzle may make hazardous driving conditions in the Advisory area, particularly on less-traveled, rural roads. The freezing drizzle is expected to end shortly before daybreak. Because of the potential for slick spots on area roads, drivers all around West Michigan should use a little more caution on this morning's commute.

Plainwell school board suspends superintendent for day without pay

PLAINWELL, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The Plainwell School Board has unanimously voted to suspend Superintendent Susan Wakefield for a day.

The motion was passed May 8, in a closed session.

The Board of Education did not offer official comment, but passed along the phrasing of the motion passed at that May 8 session. It says in part:

"Motion for the Superintendent to receive a one day suspension without pay for violation of board memorandum pertaining to student safety issues."

A memorandum on the issue is expected to be held in closed session on Monday.
