GRPD investigating teen shot in buttocks

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A 16-year-old boy from Grand Rapids is recovering Wednesday night after he was reportedly shot in the buttocks in the area of Clancy Avenue and Fairbanks Street.

It happened just before 9:30 p.m. Police say the victim was riding his bike in the area at the time.

They add that at this point it's too early to tell if he was targeted, or if he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

At this time, Grand Rapids Police only have a vague description of two suspects in the case.

When we have more concrete information in the case, we will be sure to pass it along to you.
