Lions rookie TE hoped to draw late night attention with TD dance
WASHINGTON, D.C. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - It appears there is a story behind Joseph Fauria's elaborate touchdown celebration Sunday against the Redskins.
The rookie TE from UCLA was apparently inspired by a Jimmy Fallon/Justin Timberlake skit called "The Evolution of End Zone Dancing."
Faura copied 'N-Sync's moves from their video for the song "Bye Bye Bye," because he thought it would get him on Fallon's late night show.
It turns out that what Fallon actually promised is that if an NFL player got fined for copying their skit in a game, he'd pay their fine and donate the money to a charity of their choice.
