Southern California is turning green and white

LOS ANGELES (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - More than 10,000 people are expected to fly to the west coast to catch Michigan State take on Stanford Wednesday in the Rose Bowl.

Thousands are already there, getting ready for Tuesday's pep rally at the LA Live Plaza.

Those attending will also get to catch a live broadcast of the men's basketball game at Penn State.

For many Spartan fans, getting to cheer on their green and white is a dream come true.

"When you came over the bluff and look down the valley and you see the stadium. That's when it really sets in that here we are, this is for real and the Spartans are playing in the Rose Bowl," said Michigan State Athletic Director Mark Hollis.

If you want to catch the 100th Rose Bowl Wednesday, tune in to ESPN. Kick-off is at 5:00.
