Michigan Tech beats Michigan State 3-2 in shootout

DETROIT (AP) - Tanner Kero and Ryan Furne scored in a shootout to give Michigan Tech a 3-2 win over Michigan State on Friday in a semifinal of the 49th annual Great Lakes Invitational, which is being held outdoors at Comerica Park.

The game officially ended in a tie.

Michigan Tech will play the winner of Friday night's Michigan/Western Michigan game in the championship game on Saturday night.

Jacob Johnstone and Alex Petan scored for Michigan Tech. Pheonix Copley made 24 saves.

Matt Berry and Ryan Keller scored for Michigan State and Villiam Haag scored in the shootout. Jake Hildebrand stopped 41 shots.
