The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids maintains a LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY for Ottawa, Allegan, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Berrien, Cass, and St. Joe counties until 9 PM.  An additional 1" to 4" of snow are possible on northwest winds of 15 to 20 mph; icy roads are verified by several road reports.  Please be careful traveling as lows dip into the teens tonight; wind chills will be in the single digits.

Hunters fall short of wolf hunt limit

LANSING, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Michigan's first wolf hunt in decades is now in the book and hunters fell well short of their limit.

The Department of Natural Resources says hunters killed 23 wolves this season. The department limit for the hunt was 43.

Officials say cold weather probably kept several hunters indoors.

There are an estimated 650 wolves in Michigan.
